The Shaffers are thrilled to welcome Honnah Grace and Mia Rose, their two new daughters, who were born on August 17. There were no complications, and mother and babies are all well. Lisa delivered Honnah at 6:21 p.m. and then Mia at 8:17 p.m. Although first, Honnah is the smaller twin, weighing in at 5 lb., 14 oz, and 20 inches long. Mia is 6 lb. 6 oz. and 20 1/2 inches long.

Because she wasn't feeling well, Sonora didn't get to meet her sisters until the next day. She held Mia first and said she had "pretty eyes."

A special thank you goes to Sarah as sidekick extraordinaire and especially to Grandma'am, who cooked, cleaned, took care of Lisa, and is caring for babies like a pro, because, of course, she is one! We look forward to Grammy's arrival soon!

Congratulations!!! How absolutely exciting! Honnah and Mia are so adorable. I can't wait to meet them in December! We're praying for you all.
Beautiful indeed. Those Shaffers...they sure do turn out darling little girls. And what a wonderful family they have been born into. Keep the pictures coming.
Praise God! Such beautiful girls. I love the one with Sonora and Mia. It will be so exciting to see them grow and develop personalities! (and AMEN to what Uncle Peter said;)
